UPDATE

The health of our presenters, staff and participants at the 2020 (STEAM)² Conference is our highest priority.  As a preemptive measure to curtail the spread

of coronavirus and in accordance with Dr. Gloria Gibson president of Northeastern Illinois University along with government and city officials recent health and safety announcements, we are cancelling our 2020 (STEAM)2 Conference that is due to take place in St. Charles Illinois from April 17-18, 2020.

You all should receive follow up emails from my colleague or Dan Laubacher concerning refunds for all presenters that registered for the conference.

Again, thank you for being a part of this great work! We will reach out in the

event our organization decides to move the Conference to a later date. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones!

Dream to STEAM

Formerly known as iMATHination, the (STEAM)² Conference is an overnight professional development experience open to all educators and STEAM enthusiasts. The  (STEAM)² Conference is designed to spark imagination and inspire curiosity among educators of all backgrounds in order to reinvigorate their practice and better serve their students.

For the past eleven years, Northeastern Illinois University's Center for College Access and Success  has presented the conference as an opportunity for classroom teachers, informal educators, and industry professionals to come together and share best-practices around science, technology, engineering, art/architecture, and mathematics (STEAM) education.

The (STEAM)² Conference features a STEAM Maker Fair - a showcase of interactive "maker stations" demonstrating the latest educational technologies, STEAM teaching resources, and make-and-take activities. A host of Skill-Building Workshop sessions allow participants to engage in hands-on lessons that can be immediately applied to the classroom.
